NeuroCats embraces a neurodiversity approach that centers the needs, ideas, and strengths of neurodivergent students. All supports, services, and programs are informed by student participants and neurodiversity-affirming research. We offer supports that focus on building community, improving educational experiences, and promoting student success.

Individualized Support
Neurocats offers Individualized supports through one-on-one and small group coaching. Students can choose to meet for one-on-one coaching weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly depending on their support needs. Group coaching is offered two times per week. Coaching topics address the seven domains of student success at TXST:

Social Engagement
Building a community is an essential part of NeuroCats. Multiple social events are scheduled each week to promote community engagement. Students participate in the brainstorming, planning, and facilitation of events.
Students are invited to engage at the level that feels most comfortable for them whether that means leading a discussion, contributing occasionally, or simply observing from the doorway.

Workshops
Monthly workshops are facilitated by campus and community experts based on the topics suggested by students. All workshops are open to the campus community.

- Study strategies and skills
- Time management

Customized presentations on supporting neurodivergent students are available upon request, with content adapted to best serve the audience's interest and objectives.
