  • Facilities provides responsive services to the needs of the campus community. They oversee the operating, maintaining, and construction of facilities and infrastructure. To report a physical accessibility concern within a campus building, please contact Facilities through their Report a Problem Form.

  • The Environmental, Health, Safety, Risk and Emergency Management (EHSREM) department serves as the university authority on a variety of programs designed to monitor environmental protection, campus health, fire and life safety, laboratory safety, and risk management. Reports may be made to notify EHSREM of any safety issues or injuries that have occurred on campus.

    The report an unsafe condition on campus, please utilize EHSREM's Safety Hazard Report Form. The form will provide EHSREM the information they require to start an investigation into your concern.

  • The Disability Services Student Concern process addresses non-compliance in accommodation implementation for registered DS students. If a student feels that a faculty or staff member has not provided equal access/their accommodations, they should submit the Student Concern Form.

Receive reasonable and appropriate accommodations in a timely manner from DS and faculty.

Expect all disability-related information to remain confidential, except as required by law or to prevent harm.

Appeal decisions regarding accommodations.

Students with disabilities at Texas State University have the responsibility to:

Follow the set procedures for registering with DS and requesting reasonable accommodations.

Request specific accommodations in a timely manner for each semester in which accommodations are needed. Accommodations are not retroactive.

Discuss accommodation needs with faculty once the accommodation letter is provided.

Self-advocate by actively communicating with DS and faculty about academic issues and accommodations. Seek help and information as needed.

Notify DS and faculty immediately when an accommodation is not being provided completely or correctly.

Notify DS and faculty when an accommodation is not being used or is no longer needed.

Adhere to TXST's academic and student conduct standards.

Understand the policies and laws regarding students with disabilities.

Treat all University faculty and staff respectfully.
